Whether your goal is to land a job, go to school to train for a new career, or getting support to help strengthen your position at your current job, HireAbility Vermont counselors are your partners in success. You and your counselor will set a plan and determine which services will be most useful based on your specific needs, interests, and goals. We don’t have a standard program or set of services that everyone passes through. Instead, we work hard to tailor our program and services to your particular job goals and needs.
Our goal is to help you become employed or stay employed. Everything we do together will be designed to help you achieve all of your employment goals.
Unique To You
We all bring different perspectives and experiences to the table. Our dedicated attention and services are completely individualized to every person we work with—setting you up for success today and into your future.
No Strings Attached
Our services are designed to help you explore opportunities for your future. There are no income requirements to work with us, and no contracts—you can start and stop our services at any time.
“Working with HireAbility Vermont has been life changing, super supporting and validating. If I didn’t have that validation, there’s many times I probably would have given up—HireAbility Vermont wouldn’t let me.”

You don’t have to be “on disability” to qualify for our services. If you have a disability that makes it hard to get a job, or to be successful on the job, then it’s likely you are eligible.
There are NO income requirements to receive our services—HireAbility Vermont is open to all Vermonters with a disability.
How it Works:
Step 1: Assessing your interests
Working with your counselor, you’ll start by assessing your interests, strengths and areas of need.
Step 2: map out a plan
Together with your counselor, you’ll map out a plan, and your counselor will write up an Individualized Plan for Employment (IPE). Your IPE is your personalized road map to reaching your ultimate career goals.
Step 3: work toward your goals
You are never alone. Your counselor will be there every step of the way, and into the future.
Our team is here to walk you though what unique services we can help you with. And we’re here to answer all of your questions. Let’s start talking about what opportunities could be the right fit for you:
Our programs have been designed just for you. From work incentives counseling to trying out new employment opportunities in a low-risk setting, we will be with you every step of the way!
